Sick, is also known as food poisoning, is a temporary negative stat that the player can obtain.

Gameplay[]

Sickness can only be viewed on the stats page of the Survival Guide. The game will not advise the player that they are sick on the HUD. Sickness has 20% chance of kicking in when getting damage from food. It lowers fullness/thirst/health/energy regeneration from consuming edible items. In Hard Survival Mode, It’s easier to get sick or infected and there are greater penalties from sickness and infection.

Causes of Sickness[]

There are a number of things that can cause sickness, though it's mostly consumables. Here is a list of what can make the player sick:

IconPoison Poison Upgrade - Being hit by a poison upgraded weapon, can only happen in multiplayer, it has a 100% chance of making the player sick and they will also be poisoned
IconPoisonArrow Poison Arrow - Being hit by a poison arrow, can generally only happen in multiplayer (unless the player is able to hit themselves with the arrow), it has a 100% chance of making the player sick and they will also be poisoned

Sickness can be cured by the following:

Effect and Formula[]

Effect:

  • Lowers Fullness, Thirst, Health and Energy gain from food by 10%

Formula:

  • 20% Chance when eating spoilt food
  • 100% Chance when receiving poison arrow
