Obtaining refers to the manner that the player can collect items.
Collecting[]
Collecting refers to simply collecting an item. There is no process involved other using the interact button.
Cooking[]
Cooking means placing items on a fire in a process to obtain the item.
Crafting[]
Crafting means obtained from crafting.
Cheating[]
Cheating means obtaining through console commands or mods.
Farming[]
Farming means obtaining items from gardens or wall planters.
Foraging[]
Foraging is a method a player uses to collect leaves, berries, and mushrooms.
Hunting[]
Hunting means killing animals and obtaining items from them.
Looting[]
Looting means killing enemies and obtaining items from them.
Skinning[]
Skinning is the method the player may use to remove skins or other parts from from dead animals. There are currently 6 animals that may be skinned, including:
- Lizard - Provides a lizard skin
- Rabbit - Provides a rabbit fur
- Deer - Provides a deer skin
- Crocodile - Provides 4 lizard skins
- Turtle - Provides a turtle shell
- Tortoise - Provides a turtle shell
- Boar - Provides a boar skin
- Raccoon - Provides a raccoon skin
