Hardware issues[edit source]

Hi, i just wanted to let you know that we had some totally unexpected problems with some hardware at our datacenter which resulted in a loss of data. Any changes you made overnight (and i saw several as i have many pages on this wiki on my watchlist) were unfortunately lost and the only remedy is to redo them. I'm really sorry this happened, but it was completely out of our hands, being hardware-based. Please accept our sincere apologies. — Game widow (talk) 18:30, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi again :), thanks for the promotion, rights wise, but i work for Curse/Gamepedia so i already had all the rights i needed. — Game widow (talk) 19:38, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Main page[edit source]

Please let me know if you like the main page, or hate it. We can improve it easily, if you want to .. i just cleaned it up earlier, but didn't really change much — Game widow (talk) 22:49, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

Sidebar menu[edit source]

Hi, just so you know, the vector skin does not natively support nested menus. you can only have the collapsible section headings and unnested links below those — Game widow (talk) 13:04, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

French[edit source]

How do I create a new page ? — acrojeuxvideo (talk)

In French or just in general ? if it's just in general, then you can search for the title, then when you get a red link in the search results, click it and start editing that new page . Or you can use this box:
If you want to create French versions of the existing pages, we'd create a new French wiki and link it to this one— Game widow (talk) 21:57, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi there! I would also like to help, creating a french version of the wiki ! I started by the "animals" page. As acrojeuxvideo I'm better at translating from English to French than from French to English :P biglice33 (talk) 20:32, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Dutch wiki[edit source]

Hi there, I was wondering if you could maybe set up an Dutch wiki for this wiki, so that I can start adding translated pages to it! Thnx, Luuk --LuukiePeters (talk) 18:22, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

We have not had very good luck with Dutch wikis in the past, they tend to be abandoned, but if you start here with the Dutch translation, just put all those pages in the Category:NL translation and once we have a good number of them, then i can have a separate Dutch wiki created and those pages moved. You should begin with a Dutch translation of the main page, here. For all other pages, create a page with the existing english pagename and "/nl" at the end, for example: Beaches/nl, then have the Dutch name as the first heading on the new page, and proceed from there — Game widow (talk) 19:17, 21 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi.I think that the patchnote page need update. It's outdated now.

If you have more recent patch notes, do feel free to update the page yourself, that's how wikis work — Game widow (talk) 13:57, 6 December 2015 (UTC)

Forest Wiki Editing Rights[edit source]

So I've noticed the majority of vandalism and spam comes from IP address accounts. I know on a wiki I'm admin of, we've made it that you have to have an account to do any sort of editing, creating, etc. I feel that may be best for this wiki. I do understand it may limit the number of helpful edits, but I feel in the long run it may be the best course of action to prevent vandalism. Just a thought I'd put out there. Cheers! Unless the amount of vandalism is truly unmanageable, we don't limit editing to users with accounts only. Also, we get just as much vandalism from spammers who simply create accounts. It's simply the nature of wikis. — Game widow (talk) 08:53, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
