Red Man

The Red Man, or Red Cannibal also known as Dr. Matthew Cross who can be seen at the plane crash, kidnapping your son, Timmy, at a distance on the yacht and being at the top of the cliff at the south area of the island.

His corpse can be seen in the Vault, with crayons sticking out of his throat and eye, suggesting that Megan Cross killed him with her crayons after she was brought back to life.

He was first called "Red Man" at the 0.32 patch notes saying "Fixed Red Man on yacht not appearing from some angles" and first called "Red Cannibal" or "Cannibal leader" at the community forums.

He preformed experiments involving children and resurrection and his daughter as died from unknown reasons (possibly from being experimented on?) and the Matthew Cross used the obelisk to revive his dead daughter and killed after being revived, Megan Cross killed her father by sticking crayons in the neck, eyes and mouth. Matthew cross was wearing red paint while reviving Megan Cross. That is probably the reason his daughter reacts violently to the player by turning into the Obelisk Victim.

Trivia

• He is thought to be a "smarter" cannibal, an example of this is that he covers himself in Red Paint, which appears to grant respect from other cannibals.
