Islands are areas of the game that are out at sea and are not connected by any type of land bridge.
Gameplay[]
Islands are the safest places to build in the game as mutants and creepy mutants cannot swim or cross the water. However, occasionally they will try or glitch into the water. Most of the time this will kill them within seconds though sometimes the game will 'bug out' causing them to be able to travel under water. Occasionally, one or two mutants may spawn on some islands.
If the player builds a bridge of some kind, enemies CAN use it to access the island. Keep this in mind. It is often better to use Freestanding Ziplines or Tree Ziplines to access islands and brings resources such as logs to the island. Building with rocks is often a good idea as rocks will respawn on the island.
While safe from enemies, the challenges with living on islands is the lack of fresh water. To counter this, it is strongly advised to build water collectors but this will require the player to wait for rainfall. To counter dehydration, it is advised to bring soda, booze, and a filled waterskin.

Flora[]
There no flora on islands. There is grass but that is it. In the water surrounding islands, you may find water based plants.
Fauna[]
Islands have no fauna on them permanently. Though some islands can have turtles come to the beaches. You can also find fish around most islands. Sharks are also around some islands. Birds will also occasionally visit islands though Seagulls are the main birds you will see.
