The Lost Children of the Peninsula Tapes are a decorative item that cannot be collected or interacted with, it was added in update v0.45 in The Forest.
Gameplay[]
The tapes can only be found in the Hidden Stash Room, in cave 2 where the modern axe is located.
Theory[]
It appears to be a documentary into children going missing. Mostly like linked to the Milk Carton and the Siblings Missing Newspaper which both mention missing children.
