Cave 1 has four entrances: one near the southeast rim of the sinkhole, and three surrounding a small cannibal village from there (one entrance is just to the north of the village, one to the west, and one to the east near a small pond.
Inside Cave 1 is a wall that can be blown up with explosives to open a path leading to Cave 9. Additionally, the northern part of Cave 1 blends into Cave 3, which is accessible via a rope up that will lead to the first submerged area of Cave 3.
