Cassette Tapes are used with the Cassette Player to play music, which gives the player energy and helps sanity, though it can attract cannibals and mutants. It was added in update v0.02 of The Forest.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Cassette Tapes are necessary for the Cassette Player to work. Simply add a Cassette Tape and the Cassette Player to the crafting mat to add or change the tape.

Cassette Tapes[edit | edit source]

There are currently 5 cassettes in the world. Some have duplicates in that they can be found in multiple places:


Cassette 1 is Fatal Request - "Stronghold".
IconTheForestMap.png - On the Yacht with the Cassette player.


Cassette 2 is The Slaps - "No Conscience".
IconTheForestMap.png - It spawns at the end of Cave 4


Cassette 3 is Frankie Millionaire - "Do It".
IconTheForestMap.png - Cave 10, near the cowman and the boat.


Cassette 4 is Wolf on Fire - "The Haunting".
IconTheForestMap.png - It spawns in cave 2 in a large open room. It spawns in a corner that can be found by skull lanterns and it is near mining hats.


Cassette 5 is Rick Gold - "Strength, Ability and Wisdom".
IconTheForestMap.png - On the Beachside Grave.

Also spawns in Cave 1 in the mouth of a decapitated head on the path down to the Latin Paper
